GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


 


The VP of Sales and GM of Utah is responsible for management and direction of sales account executives, account managers and other sales personnel in the Utah region. Assign sales goals and establish training programs for sales representatives.  Act as advisor to sales personnel to improve performance.  The position will also manage and oversee the general day-to-day operations and operations and administrative staff of the Salt Lake City Office within the company’s business plan, budget, policies and procedures. 


 


 


 


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


 





  • Provides direction, counsel and guidance for plans in marketing, sales promotion, sales training



  • Implement sales policies and ensures communication of new products or services, variations and changes, and sales promotions and activities for sales staff



  • Counsel and directs all sales personnel toward strategic goals



  • Supervises the development of sales plans



  • In-depth knowledge of company history and the product that company markets to potential clients



  • Insures the adequacy of sales training program



  • Lead, motivate and direct all staff at the Salt Lake City Office and handle general day-to-day administrative decisions involving staff, operations and facilities



  • Establish presence in community for business contacts



  • Exudes loyalty to our organization 



  • Perform other job-related duties as required or as directed by Executive Management




 


 


 


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Related Experience:


 





  • 5-8 years previous sales management experience, preferably in the telecom or IT industries



  • 5 years selling experience preferably in telecom or IT industries



  • Demonstrated abilities in high-level sales, team building, and motivation



  • Excellent manager and leader with strengths of developing and managing a growing group



  • Entrepreneurial skills in telecommunications/IT areas



  • Strong closing skills



  • Ability to adapt to an evolving marketplace



  • Strong delegation skills 



  • Ability to multitask



  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Contact Management software 



  • BA/BS degree in business or equivalent background
